The Southern New England Marine Educators (SENEME) Conference returns on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at The Sound School in New Haven, Connecticut, and we're excited to officially open our Call for Presenters!
This year's theme, A Slice of the Sound, celebrates the incredible diversity of marine education across Southern New England—from our classrooms and coastlines to our research institutions, and community organizations. Together, we'll explore the places, people, and partnerships that make our region such a powerful living laboratory for teaching and learning.
We're seeking engaging presentations that inspire educators and connect them with practical ideas they can bring back to their classrooms, schools, and communities! Whether your work highlights the Blue Economy, emerging ocean technologies, hands-on field experiences, place-based instruction, student leadership, or the remarkable ecosystems that connect Southern New England to the broader Atlantic, we'd love to hear from you.
Conference Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026
Location: The Sound School | New Haven, CT
Presentation Proposal Deadline: Friday, July 17, 2026
Together, let's create an inspiring day of learning, collaboration, and coastal education. We can't wait to see what you'll bring to the conference!
We look forward to seeing you this October!
