Southeastern New England Marine Educators
Horseshoe Crab Webinar and Walk
Join SENEME in a fun event all about Horseshoe Crabs (Limulus polyphemus). The day will start with a Zoom Webinar with Jo-Marie Kasinak, the Project Limulus Outreach and Education Coordinator who will speak on why this ancient animal is important to our ecosystems, what the project has learned from their data over the years, and educational materials available to school teachers, and informal educators.
Once the Zoom event is done, join some of our SENEME Board and organizational members to go on a hunt to find these beautiful creatures. Be prepared to walk long distances, over rocks and get your feet wet as we search for crabs.
